A Beginner's Guide to Meditation

Most of us lead stressful lives. Whether it’s about what’s happening now: at home, at work, in a relationship; what’s occurred in the past; or, even worries and concerns about the future. All this can lead to increased stress, ill health and worse.

But, there is a way to deal with this – by practicing meditation.

Meditation can help you in many ways, not least of which is to help you become calmer. But, if practiced regularly and correctly, it can also help you understand more about what is going on in your life, to help you become more aware of yourself, increase your consciousness, and inspire you.

I began regular meditation when I was 7 years of age, and in my book I show you the correct ways to perform meditation, and explain the reasons why you should make meditation a part of your daily life.

  • Chapter 1 - Getting Ready for Meditation: covers the preparation for meditation, some thoughts on the clothing, the positions to adopt, as well as the key components you need to consider to get the best out of your practice.
  • Chapter 2 - Basic Knowledge about Meditation: covers concentration and meditation (the 2 are different). Many are unaware of this, and it’s essential to know the difference to achieve the results that you aim for.
  • Chapter 3 - How to Overcome Obstacles in Meditation: shows that, when your meditation is successful, the rewards can and will be life-changing, but there are a number of obstacles you will need to overcome to achieve this success.
  • Chapter 4 - Concentration and Meditation Practices: here you will learn about meditation practices: mindfulness of breathing; right concentration; tranquility meditation; insight meditation; and, finally, your daily meditation practices.
